For four trombones. Concert Piece, a well-written, nine-minute work, is scored for four trombones. Its highly energetic and rhythmically-charged outer movements are contrasted by a slow, lyrical, middle movement. A great display piece. Concert Piece was the required composition for the final round of the 2003 ITA Quartet Competition.
