Bought this during Gibson month on sale. It’s worth twice the price. The finish is beautiful and the feel and workmanship are comparable to a USA guitar. The tones are versatile and traditional. It’s everything you’d want in a 335 and more. I’ve been playing over 30 years and I’m a Fender player usually but this 335 is amazing. Play this and a $4000 Gibson and it’ll be hard to justify the extra $3K. Gibson should be worried be Epiphones game is too notch.

Had my eye on this guitar for a while and got to play one in store. I’m assuming it varies but the finish was more green then like the stock photos, sounded very flat and fretwork could be better. I would assume with a setup and maybe some better pickups it would rip, but as is it’s an OKAY guitar

This is a beautiful looking and sounding guitar. I’ve always been a Gibson fan, owning 2 Custom shop Les Paul’s and a 1977 L6S. I’ve long considered an ES model but never considered an Epiphone. I tried the Blueberry Burst in Stratford and took it home. The sound is impressive and the playability is great. I like the feel of the neck and the frets are smooth. I find the Indian Laurel fretboard a little grabby at times but I chalk it up to the character of the guitar so I’m fine with it. It is a nice compliment to my other guitars and I’m glad I bought it.

Excellent quality for the price that it's offered at. I love the sound of the Alnico Classic PRO Humbuckers that it comes with and the feel of the neck. I recommend it to anyone who like to have an affordable ES335.

Good overall guitar, needed setup (neck relief, intonation, lowered action, some frets needed to be filed down, complete fret polishing)… and obviously new strings. Mine is about 8.3lbs. Pups fully fonctionnal and warm (when used in right context) A reliable compromise for the overly expensive gibson real mccoy

I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to guitars and I’d normally walk right past an Epi without a second thought. A buddy of mine has been raving about this new 335 so I picked one off the rack and plugged it in. I honestly can’t believe how good this guitar is for the price. It’s fit and finish is almost flawless and more importantly it sounds SO good. Very articulate pickups that have good bite and respond beautifully to how hard or soft your pick attack is. Epiphone didn’t skimp on the electronics for once and it really shows when you play it. Full sized CTS pots and the new Alnico PRO pickups are a perfect match for this guitar. Very impressed. I’m super happy with this one and it easily hangs with guitars on my wall that cost 8X what this one does. Epi has really upped their game with the inspired by line and it has changed my perspective on the brand in general. Well done Epiphone. Well done.

As soon as this ES-335 was available I ordered one. It reminded me so much of a Gibson 335 that I regretfully sold and can no longer afford to replace. The guitar finish is fantastic. Flame maple is bookmatched on both front and back on mine. The binding is excellent. It stays in tune. Where it falls down is that it had fret buzz soon after purchase and I just couldn’t get it right. I took it to the Twelfth Fret which is my go to shop for all repairs and set-ups. It required a fret dressing as some of the frets were lifting out of the fretboard. I also had work done on the nut but I have that done on all of my guitars. Now it plays beautifully. I recommend this guitar but it may take some tweaking to get it just right. Lately the three way switch has been a problem when switching to the treble p/u and I’ve had to use contact cleaner a couple of times. The guitar stays on the case when I’m not using it so I believe I have a faulty three way switch. Still, for the price it’s an excellent alternative to the real deal Gibson.

I’ve been playing guitar for 22 years, and have been through a lot of different instruments. This is the first Epiphone I’ve bought since my Les Paul that would have been built in the 90’s (sold it years ago to the same person I bought it from). Here’s the real deal: I’m positively blown away by the fit and finish of this guitar. I did need to do some setup when I got it home. I pulled the factory strings off and set the intonation, the neck relief and the bridge height/action. With these minor changes that you could do yourself with basic tools and a Youtube instructional video, the guitar plays as well as any Gibson I’ve laid hands on.

Picked up this beauty and it certainly does not disappoint. The finish is something to be marvelled. The feel is incredible. Epiphones has really nailed the Inspired by Gibson series with this ES-335. Right out of the box the setup was great considering it came straight from overseas. I was expecting some adjustments to be made but none were needed except needing to be tuned up and right away it felt and sounded amazing. The medium jumbo frets are smooth and well polished and they don't make a scratching sound when bending your strings. The c-shaped neck fits mine and probably most people's hands perfectl. The nut was perfectly cut to enhance tonality and keeping the instrument in tune considering it's a three aside traditional headstock. The aesthetics on this machine are amazing. I carefully examined The binding expecting to be some flaws considering the guitars price point. None whatsoever. It is as if the wood in the plastic on the binding are all one piece. The pickups have a great output. They're not too hot so it doesn't distort easy but when you want to get some dirt they sound amazing without the guitar giving feedback considering it is a semi hollow. The CTS pots roll on and roll off with great articulation, they go from 0 to 10 extremely smooth without that issue where you don't have signal until you're around four or five on the pot like some other guitars. The selector switch is high quality and isn't loose. The electronics respond like you would expect him to respond from its big brother on the Gibson model. Incredible clean and saucy dirt from this classic. If you're a fan of classic looking guitars as I am go try one of these out for yourself you probably won't be disappointed.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I could not go into the store due to the pandemic so I purchased it based on the reviews that I found online. The fit and finish on this guitar are Incredible and surpassed my expectations...the picture on this site does not do it any justice. It is an amazing guitar and a great value. You will not be disappointed!

I just got this beauty from L&M, and I am completely blown away with the quality of this guitar. I've owned a lot of Epiphone guitars over the years (including 'Dot' and 'Sheraton' models). This new Inspired by Gibson line is in a whole different league, and Epiphone has knocked it out of the park! For me, the other Epiphone 335 models were always leaving something to be desired when compared to their Gibson siblings, but this new Epi really hits the sweet spot, and costs around $4,000 less! IMHO, this is a must have in the collection.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.

Great Additions
