Turn it UP to 11
Raise your game with the DJM-S11. This new professional 2-channel, 4-deck control battle mixer enhances various elements from its predecessor, the DJM-S9, and offers a host of brand-new features to help you perform more freely with Serato DJ Pro or rekordbox.

Customizable touch screen
A 4.3-inch customizable touch screen gives all the information you need. Browse tracks, check waveforms, and dynamically change the texture of the music with TOUCH FX. With Touch MIDI you can directly control functions in your DJ software without touching your laptop.

Expanded effects section
Spice up your sets with 22 Beat FX, including the new Fader Pitch and Helix. Smooth Echo is a new effect that you can automatically engage when you move the faders or hit the pads you've assigned as triggers.

Improved Performance Pads
The 8 Performance Pads are bigger, making them easier to hit in energetic battles. In Serato DJ Pro, use Combo Pad mode to combine up to 4 different pad modes at once, and use Scratch Bank to call up assigned scratch samples by just tapping a pad.

Enhanced MAGVEL FADER PRO
Pioneer has enhanced the feeling of the MAGVEL FADER PRO and boosted its vertical rigidity by 30 percent. This means you can scratch with more confidence, while the tougher coating around the crossfader area reduces wear and tear.

Crystal-clear sound quality
The DJM-S11 inherits the raw and high-density sound from the DJM-900NXS2 thanks to studio-quality 64-bit mixing and dithering processing inside the DSP, and a low-jitter clock circuit and 32bit high-quality D/A converter in the master output section.

Features
USB hub - Plug your DJ controllers and other devices including selected units from other brands into the dual USB-A ports to play with them.
MIDI controller - This device is fully MIDI assignable via USB. Send control information to external devices and use the mixer as a MIDI controller.
Serato DJ Pro - Connect your PC/Mac to use Serato DJ Pro. Use dedicated buttons for FX and advanced Serato features like Beat Jump, Slip mode, and Quantize.
Serato DVS - Use Serato DVS to control and scratch with CDJs or turntables.
Pitch 'n Time DJ - Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack is included. Use Pitch Play, Flip, Key Shift and more features. The mixer is fully MIDI mappable too.

It’s just a weapon. Too many features ( in a good way ) in a well thought out package. I think the s9 is the standard and this is just that next level.

Over the last few years many DJ's have faced the reality of implementing workarounds with aging industry gear in trying to replicate the feature rich and compact layout found in many modern controllers. The S9 was a game changer bringing many features to a vinyl or CDJ / mixer setup but there was room for improvement on the overall layout and design. The new S11 has not only addressed a number of the layout critiques of the S9 but has taken a giant leap forward with technology not available with any other mixer currently on the market as of the time of this review. This is one of the best pieces of hardware I have put my hands on in some time. We now have the same feature set and compact layout of a controller setup fully available to a traditional club hardware/mixer setup. Yes you could implement much of this functionality prior to the arrival of the S11 using a more complex array of chained equipment, but in today's environment with DJ change overs, opening acts etc, the ideal state is to streamline implementation with less moving pieces, wires and connections. The S11 knocks it out of the park with an intuitive "in line" layout up top, larger performance pads, responsive touch screen, and overall great feel. This is a very "deep" piece of equipment with many layers when you start getting into 4 deck control, moving tracks off 1&2 to 3&4 locking the decks etc. (Check out the You Tube tutorials on all these things....very impressive.) In my opinion one of the best features is the built in USB hub to run CDJ's which allows you to plug the J's directly into the mixer then run a 1 wire hookup to your computer if your choice is to do so with USB. Last but not least the smooth echo feature adds automation to your mixes and enabling you to double up on effects. In a technology driven world, change agility is important so I would say that for anyone who invests in this unit and takes the time/is willing to go through the learning curve to take full advantage if its many features will certainly be able to find the wow factor! The only other complaint some may have is the plastic construction on the underside of the box (same as the S9)....personally I don't consider this to be a deal breaker because it does make the unit light/easier to transport, and secondly, with the rapid technology changes in the industry much like handheld devices, chances are that the software and features will be outdated long before the plastic construction ever becomes a durability issue. Overall this unit is thoughtfully provisioned in features and layout and is a pure pleasure to play on. Hats off to the design team at Pioneer on this one...they nailed it! I highly recommend this mixer!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
