Divergence can be defined as drawing apart as lines from a common centre. Divergence for the young band is based on that concept with melodic lines that draw apart from a common musical center. Melodic lines pull apart and interact within choirs. Woodwinds diverge from brass providing contrasting and interacting harmonic effects. Divergent lines continue to develop throughout the piece leading to a powerful and exciting conclusion. An excellent selection for concert and festival performance.
