I have owned the MS1 for several years and it's been a good product. Setting it up is a little awkward though. I have to replace it now because the tightening screw has stripped so it cannot be secured any more. It would be much better if Yorkville did not use metal in combination with plastic in the most vulnerable areas, because eventually the plastic wears out from the metal screws, making this otherwise good product disposable. Yorkville does this in their music stands as well.

Note that the bracket clamps are too large to securely grasp all four sides of an iPad Air. This model is not designed for the iPad Air.

I've had a few different ones from various sources on eBay, and none of them fit the bill. Only the iKlip from IK multimedia and this one from Yorkville had the features I was looking for. This one is now 10$ cheaper than iKlip, and actually works better for me. The iPad stands further out in front of the mic stand, and the unit tilts further up as well, giving me the adequate angle no matter what combo of mic/stand/extension I need. Unit is sturdy, and I really like the fact you can open up the spring mechanism to adjust spring tension or replace the springs that clamp the iPad. Very good value for the money. Will use it live for sure.

Bought this to use at home to practice and for some open mics. Good product, but it could be a bit better. There is no over-hanging clips on the top edge of the unit. Because of the design when used with thin tablets, the tablet wants to try to slide up and out of the top edge. I modified it by adding 2 small aluminium 'L' brackets to hold the the tablet in place, much like the other 3 edges (which have plastic 'L' brackets).

I have an Asus 10" tablet I use for my lyrics and chords. It hold the tablet, BUT it could use clips over the fourth edge. My fear is the tablet popping out. I added two 90 degree brackets with 2 sided tape to help secure the tablet. I also remove one of the two springs to help prevent the tablet popping out.
Over all its well built, hold onto the mic stand nicely and has enough movement to get the tablet into 'that right' spot.
