Fourth Part of the Clavier Ubung
Composer: Johann Sebastian Bach
Editor: Christoph Wolff
Format: Book
Instrumentation: Piano
Bach's "Goldberg-Variations" pose a serious challenge to any harpsichordist or pianist. Bach intended them to be played on a double manual harpsichord, which presents a problem for interpretations on the pianoforte. This critical performing edition is based on the Urtext of the New Bach Edition and divides the parts between the hands analogue to Bach's own printed edition of the famous cycle.
