The next chapter in the Ned Steinberger designed capos features the patent-pending Tri-Action geometry which reduces the force required to open and close the capo while applying even tension regardless of neck type. The best part... NO NEED TO RETUNE DURING USE! The micrometer tension adjustment combines with the direct horizontal pressure to virtually eliminate any string pulling and is buzz free from any fret. Now for some quick bullet points:
Designed for both 6 string acoustic & electric guitars with radiused fretboards
Single hand, easy operation; clip it to the headstock when not in use
Aircraft grade aluminum construction (EXTREMELY light weight!)
Can't forget about the pick clip to keep an extra or to place your pick when switching to finger plucking

I bought one of these capos a few years back, liked it, so bought another two - one for my son and an additional one when I thought I'd lost the first.
With all three of them, the pin that holds it together at the pivot joint pops out. To make it usable again I've had to hammer it back in. I shouldn't need to do this with a $32 capo. Have purchased Dunlops since. Maybe these were great at one time, but not now. Cheaply manufactured?

Very disappointed in this Capo what appears to be the newer version of the Planet Waver Capo. I have their older version of this unit. Material Quality has gone way down for sure to the point of a very cheap feel and function and clearly over priced. I have two of the older ones (a few years old) and they are much better in their solid construction and heavier materials. This version is in my view are now in class of the ones that retail for less than half the price. Just can't recommend them at the 2020 $31.99 price point.....Real sorry now that I feel for it in buying this version. I have placed it in a junk drawer, likely never to used.

Solid construction and optional tension increase/decrease makes it easy to use. Easy on/off action or moving up and down the guitar neck. Tried on my traveler acoustic, my electric and my regular acoustic.

I use this capa and it works pretty well. It sometimes struggles to work on my acoustic but usually its fine. Adjusting the tension can somtimes be a tad annoying but none the less this capo gets the job done.

I've been using capos since the early sixties. The Planet Waves tri-action capo is easily the best ever. It solves all the problems with earlier models. You can even adjust the tension while it's still clamped on the neck. The one thing a capo does not need is a pick holder, but this capo has one. It is too tight for a heavy pick, too loose for a thin pick, and generally, just looks dumb. However, this is by no means a reason not to buy the capo. It's the best. I own two. The silly pick holder will not get in your way. Just ignore it. I would have given it a 10 in every category if it wasn't for the useless pick holder. Aside from that, I can't imagine how this capo could be improved.

Well designed. Tension is easy to adjust. It's easy to place on the guitar. The only problem I've had was with the guitar pick holder. It broke the first time I tried to use it.
