The Kemper Profiling Amplifier enables you to do what generations of guitar players have been waiting for: to capture the soul of all your amps (and so many more) inside a lunchbox-sized amplifier.
So, how does it work? Cutting edge technology was used to capture the sonic DNA of virtually any guitar amp. The resulting Profiles are as living, vivid and dynamic as the original amps. Imagine you've used some sweet-sounding, well-maintained vintage tube amps in your last studio session: With the Kemper Profiling Amplifier, there's no need to leave those sounds behind anymore. Simply create your own Profiles from these amps and take them with you to use anywhere you like. Variations with alternative amp settings can be created and even the cabinet of a profiled combo amp can be exchanged at any time. Dozens of pro-grade onboard effects and stomp boxes can be used to spice up the Profiles.
Specifications:
• Dimensions (Amp): 37.8 cm (14.88 inches) x 21.7 cm (8.54 inches) x 17.3 cm (6.81 inches)
• Weight (Amp): 5.32 kg (11.73 pounds)
• Line voltage: 100-125 or 190-245V AC

This amp sounds and runs fantastic. I've had mine for 4 months now and have loved every second of it. For my style of music (Metal), I've found a lot of the pre-installed amps to be perfect for tracking guitar and bass with for my own music and covers. This thing is super easy to record with for the home studio, you don't need to mic up any cab, just one XLR cable into your interface and it's ready to go. I highly recommend getting this if you can afford it

This is the best piece of gear I've bought in probably 20 years. I've sold so many preamps now and gotten rid of all but one of my amplifiers... and that one I don't recall when I last turned it one.
Try one and be amazed.

5 star device all the way, built like a tank, easy to use, not cheap but worth it. Essential gear, right after a guitar imo, anyone can start using it out of the box. This really is perfect for all kinds, from beginners, bedroom warriors, home and pro studios, living room legends, any gigs, shows up often on large pro arena acts. 12k + free profiles of all kinds of amps, many more commercial ones, made by top studios and producers.
Easy to use, works like any amp, volume, eq, gain etc. Replaces most pedals and effects also. Delays own, after free upgrade, Works well though pa's, monitors, frfr, cabs, even through a tube amp into cab, headphones, direct recording, re-amping. No contest best, most accurate sounding, and most versatile. Look for a/b tests, where people can't tell the original from profile. Lot of people also sell off most of their tube amps after getting this.
Best way to see for yourself is to lay hands on it, and have a few spare hours/days to try it, and many profiles. Great amps/sounds for every style of guitar out there can be had quickly and easily, 24/7 without leaving your home. Certainly cures most, if not all amp GAS, and once you see how easy it is to get new amps you will be totally spoiled.

I tried this out in the store that just happened to have one in stock and even got to stretch it's legs out when no one was around. A bit quirky to get used to but I was sold since I really need specific tones playing live. And hey, if it's good enough for Trent Reznor it should be good enough for me

This is an absolutey the most versatile piece of equipment any guitarist/bassist could own. I have owned it for about a year now, and have watched it skyrocket. It is now used in many major studios and used by everyone from slayer to Madonna. The Kemper community is great and when I last checked, there was 6200+ profiles available for download on rig exchange.

Ive have spent over serval thousands of dollars on amps over the years. Everytime I wanted to try a new one out I just did. After having a huge impact on my budget and debt I was desperate to find some way to help my GAS and I was pointed to the Kemper.
And wow this thing is amazing, it sounds just like any amp ive profile / played in the past, plus it sounds great recorded. This is the perfect amp for anyone who plays guitar from beginners to pros. So unless your a tube elitist you will fall in love with this amp.

For reference, I'm a professional in the audio field, so I have a large amount of experience with professional audio equipment.
I have been playing a lot of guitar in my tracks & sound design in the past year, and had been extremely underwhelmed by software like Guitar Rig and Revalver.
I thought about investing in something hardware that would make the guitars sound "better." I originally looked at the Axe FX-2, and was relatively impressed; but then I discovered the Kemper. I listened to a ton of examples of people using it, and decided it was worth trying.
I bought it, and my initial impression was "this isn't bad, I guess." Then I started trying user-made profiles (some paid, some free) and was completely blown away. The community has created some amazing profiles, and is very active.
I now use the Kemper for absolutely everything involving my stringed instruments - I love it! It sounds very close to analog, which is really impressive. I guess that should be expected by Access Music (I have been using an Access Virus TI2 Polar for years, and adore it).
This piece of equipment comes 100% recommended - it is a top-tier product.

What an amazing piece of machinery. The tones are incredible, and with the online preset bank, you will find virtually any amp you could possibly want. I finally found the early Sabbath tone I was after! Worth every penny, only regret is not buying it sooner.

The Kemper is by far the most realistic sounding best of gear I've ever used. With good profiles, this thing is outstanding. You can't tell the difference between real amps and the profiles. Do yourself a favor and at least try one. LOVE this thing...

Having owned or tried many digital amp modelers in my time, I can safely say that the Kemper takes the cake. It's the closest i've ever heard a digital unit come to accurately emulating a tube amp. Every day feels like christmas with huge amount of profiles available for download on the kemper exchange. Check it out!

I had been searching for a specific tone and versatility in a digital product for a while and always ended up being dissapointed. Digital modelers always had a hard time sounding natural in the tone between clean and distorted but as soon as I plugged in the Kemper it nailed it perfectly and felt great to play too. The frequent updates are always great and once the footswitch gets released hopefully this year I will never even consider using anything else. If you get this product be prepared to be asked by everyone "What is that thing?" It was fun at first but now I just tell them it makes toast.

I've had the KPA for about 2.5 mo. now. I really wanted to try it out for 30 days, then return in, but the Kemper has stayed put. Excellent tones, some profiles are better than others. I purchased a few packs from The Amp Factory and Soundside.de and these are amazing! The software interface for the Kemper is well thought out and easy to get used to. This is a great recording tool, I can get so many amazing tones with the press of a button. Still waiting for some features to be implemented (i.e. Performance mode), but these are well on the horizon now. Takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it's an invauable tool, with great tone!

This is one amazing product! Never mind the AxeFX II or any Line 6 nonsense....to be able to profile your own amp and others and get the sound extremely close is simply amazing. A great set of available onboard effects and tools. Very easy to use and really, a quality built product that sounds outstanding. Yes...it is expensive for a modeller but it does a lot more than that. An awesome tool to have when playing live or in the studio. Saves me so much time. So happy with this purchase!

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty
A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
