I recently purchased a new electric guitar that has a different shape and a smaller body than the Strats I've been playing for the last 20+ years. While getting used to the new guitar I found myself leaning over the guitar much more due to its smaller size, as well as lifting up my right leg slightly to elevate the guitar body to put it in a more comfortable position. Both of these things were causing some posture issues and made my back sore after playing for a while. I decided to pick up one of these Yorkville foot stools and it basically solved the problem completely. So much easier to sit up straight when playing now. As a bonus, I can also use it with my classical guitar. I honestly can't believe I waited so long to buy one of these. Such a big difference (and the quality is great!).
I do wish it could be raised just a little bit higher. And if you have big feet (I'm size 13) you'll find that the foot stool is shorter than your feet. But both of these issues are minor and definitely not deal breakers. Overall this was a great purchase.

As previous reviews have said, this is a sturdy, well-made foot rest for classical guitar or any guitar played while seated. The angle is adjustable, but there is no height adjustment. Works for me, though. Seems about the right height, but perhaps a bit high since I have quite long legs.

Picked up one of these to help me play sitting down. Have a knee injury that aggravates if I try to raise up on the ball of my foot for longer periods. This totally alleviates that problem. Brings my guitar up to the right level for comfortable playing. Can be adjusted as well to multiple different heights. Also places your foot at a comfortable angle. Wish I had bought it sooner.

I like this because it helps position the guitar on my leg and helps take the weight off of the guitar strap on my neck. It's height adjustment is easy to use, packs up flat and it's great.

I had trouble getting comfortable playing while seated, because while resting my guitar on my right leg, the guitar was too low and therefore my fretting hand was not in the correct position. This made playing difficult, especially barre cords. Arching my right foot up was tiring, and a pile of phone books didnt work either..Got one and voila! problem solved. Adjustable, inexpensive. NOT just for classical!
