Mega Multi-FX with Next-Generation Amp Modeling

The long-awaited follow up to the GT-10 has arrived. Meet the new BOSS effects flagship, the GT-100, boasting next-generation amp modeling that recreates vintage amps as well as providing new COSM tones that soar into the future. The user interface has been improved with a unique dual-LCD system, and EZ TONE has been enhanced with newly designed AMP CUSTOMIZE and OD/DS CUSTOMIZE features. The GT-100 is a powerhouse processor that spans from classic to futuristic in a friendly, rugged, road-worthy unit.

Advanced COSM amps that model vintage amp tones and delivers never-before-heard tones
Dual-LCD for simple and intuitive operation with direct access to every parameter
Improved EZ Tone TONE feature with graphical TONE GRID for constructing new patches; AMP CUSTOMIZE and OD/DS CUSTOMIZE lets you easily create original amps and overdrive/distortion by customizing their behavior
Newly developed ACCEL pedal for simultaneous control of multiple parameters

Advanced COSM Amp: Beyond Vintage

With its next-generation COSM processor, the GT-100 ushers in a new era of expression and sonic capabilities. Recreating the meticulous details of vintage amps and how they behave, the GT-100 excels in not only cloning classic amps, but provides a new world of unimagined tones as well. The AMP CUSTOMIZE function lets you mutate classic amps beyond reality. Construct completely new, unimagined sounds!
Simple and Intuitive User Interface

The GT-100s unique dual-LCD and eight-knob user interface provides fast access and intuitive control. There are no menus to navigate; every function is instantly available. The tone-customizing functionality has been improved as well. All patches, amps, and overdrive/distortions can be created from scratch and/or customized with the friendly graphical TONE GRID.
New Tonal Possibilities with the ACCEL Pedal

A new dimension of expression is available with the ACCEL pedal, which enables control of multiple parameters simultaneously, as well as time-variant effects such as FEEDBACKER, S-BEND, TWIST, etc. Experiment with creative combinations of parameters, interacting in real time with the pedal.
New A/B Channel Divide Function

Another notable new feature onboard the GT-100 is the versatile A/B Channel Divide. Assign different amps and effects to each channel, and divide the signal not only by dynamics, but by frequency as well, with each channel capable of driving its own effects and amps settings. The range of tonal possibilities gets wider, and wilder! Assign smooth, mild lead tones to the mid-to-high pitches, for example, and heavy, cutting tones to the lower notes.

I literally bought the GT-100 because I bought one for the other guitar player in my band for Christmas one year, ya I am that kind of gift giver. But he mentioned he was really struggling figuring out the settings and there was so much going on he couldn’t get a good high gain distortion. I was constantly showing him things and how to’s on the board. Well I decided to buy one for myself THANK YOU GEAR HUNTER found one in immaculate shape for CHEAP and thank you Kamloops store for returning my calls, emails (unlike two other stores who shall not be named) then shipping me the board. Well first off to anyone thinking about buying this really take the time to sit down and really learn the board and its features, AND READ THE MANUALS! I sat down with this the day I got it and had so much fun playing with it and discovering all that I could do. I spent over 4 hrs reading manual’s learning, creating, building effects, settings and preferences (if you don’t want to do that you got manual mode, easy peasy). But to open up the possibilities and potential of this board you need to be familiar with Boss systems and or take the time to learn them because it is worth it. I seriously contemplated replacing all my MXR, EHX & Maxon pedals with this board because it can do everything! 4 cable method or using the board as the preamp is the way to go. Plugging right in to the front of the amp works and is ok but you are limiting yourself and what the board can truly do for you and your sound.

I almost sold my GT100 until I heard someone mention online to ignore the stock patches and build your own, boy am I glad I waited and programmed my own patches!!! This thing sounds MUCH better than the stock patches imply! It is now my main studio guitar modeler and I used to build boutique tube amps!

The machine is very sophisticated. I owned it for 3 years and could never really get the desired effects that I was looking for. The volume levels from channel to channel were inconsistent, going from very low to very high. I just found I was spending more time trying to figure out how to use it than actually using it. The amount of features built into it actually make the machine almost impossible to use. I thought I was buying the best processor I could get but after owning it I will never buy another processor.

This multi-effect processor is easy to use and sounds awesome! You don't need the manual to create your own patches. I got it at Richmond BC branch, I got a bad experience on the sales person named Ian James. He's kinda hard to deal with and I find him intimidating and boastful. He shouldn't be at L&M because staffs are generally friendly and customer oriented. If you'll ever drop to Richmond BC branch, I warn you. Stay out of that Mr. Ian James who'll treat like a poor musician and will talk you like you don't have money to buy a gear.

What an awesome processor! Versatile for all styles. Rented this unit before I purchased...absolutely love it so I bought it. The algorithms to tailor your sound is amazing and to create new tones is a piece of pie. I've always been a Boss pedal enthusiast, I still have all my old Boss pedals but this unit is heaven...I only wish the looper would play longer. Two thumbs up for the GT-100

I broke my beloved GT10 and had to use one of these while it was being fixed...I haven't gone back!! Not only do the amp/cab/mic models sound better and not only is the interface easier to use, but the pedal models are even better, and you now have the capability of customizing, storing and easy accessing a different 8-space manual pedalboard for each patch, instead of just one for the entire board like the GT10. The upshot is that not only can I go direct with my board and fold it back through the monitors, but if I AM using an amp (fly gig, for instance) I can call up all my boards and turn off the amp/speaker/mic modelling! I've actually duplicated all my patches without the modelling on and copied them to new locations for just such an occasion! I know there may be multi-effects units coming out now that sound better or react more like an amp (Line6 Helix, perhaps), but let's be honest... few people could tell unless they A/B them in a studio setting, and the boards that might sound better are twice the price or more! And, let's face it...if money truly WERE no object, would you be using a modeller? Nope... you'd own all the amps and pedals and have a roadie to lug and set them up for you!! The GT-100 sounds great and is far more versatile and usable for the average pro or semi-pro gigging musician than most of these units, and at a great price!

First off- I will declare in advance that I am a fan of these multi-pedals. This is a great example. I owned a zoom multi-effects pedal for many years and this is a great upgrade. Lots of voicing options - may not be endless but certainly close. There is a good range of pre-loaded patches - something for everyone and the Boss web site gives access to many more which were really easy to load using the Boss Tone Studio App and the bulk loading app. The apps worked on my Windows 7 system first time with hardly any learning curve. I deducted a feature point for the Loop feature, maybe Boss do not want to eat into sales of their dedicated loopers but - frankly - 38 seconds sucks. I already own a loopstation but it would have been great to use the multi-effects pedal. The 4 cable features for use in the Amp effects loop circuit is a great addition. The control interface is really intuitive, I was editing patches in minutes and using the Tone Studio software just makes it easier. It would be great to have an iOS version for use on a tablet.

This unit sounds amazing. The USB interface works perfectly to record and manage the system. The massive amount of customizations are only limited by your time. Highly recommended.

There are assets that this unit has that make it much more valuable than previous units. 1 – The pitch bend function can be used to have all notes played a semitone lower with surprising clarity. So in effect, you can down-tune your floating tremolo Strat without having to retune the guitar and reset the tremolo, all at the touch of a button. Very handy because, you don’t have to change guitar when playing songs with a different tuning. 2 – Patch Edit Loop Mode - The guitar will be recorded, and the effects will be applied when the loop is played back. This is a convenient way to adjust the effects, or to compare the sound of different patches. So convenient, because now you can concentrate on editing a loop while your riff is being played. Allows you to zero in on the parameters quickly and get your sound without the distraction of trying to play the riff and edit at the same time. You can use both hands and your full concentration to get the sound exactly how you like it while the riff plays as many times as needed. This is critical because earlier units exhausted you while you were trying to do both things at the same time. It was such a chore to edit a patch and you started to avoid editing after a while. This new mode encourages you to edit patches to your liking. 3 – Double screens. Very user-friendly. 4 – Record via USB onto your computer. 5 – Delay effects spill-over when changing patches so delay fades naturally without being cut off in the middle of the patch change. 6 – Clean Twin sound is actually clean, like it should be. 7 – Overdrive and preamp types are of a higher quality. 8 – Simpler user interface, parameters are accessed quicker. 9 – Processing power is 6 times as powerful than as before. 10 – Some guys have great demos of the GT-100 online and this shows how good patches can be edited to sound great.

Man this multi-effect has it all, perfect for recording and live gigs. I have 15 stompboxes, (mostly BOSS), and I can finally put them away. They were taking up a lot of space. But am I ever glad of this one. 200 preset effects AND room for 200 more. I love the fact that I can create my own "patches" and the GT-100 has lots of effects pedals to play with and combine. I've been a BOSS user for over 30 years now and I never would have though that I would get a multi-effect. I found it to be too complicated for me... but not the GT-100, Rylan at L&M gave me a brief introduction and "BANG", next thing you know I'm mastering this awesome piece of technology. Alongside my ME-20B Bass mutli-effect processor, I can now say that I'm "Up-to-Date" technology-wise when it comes to effect processing. Thanks Rylan and staff at L&M Edmonton downtown. You guys ROCK!!! and so does BOSS!!!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
