Long known for it's history of making great Les Paul guitars, Epiphone expands upon that knowledge and experience with the Les Paul Acoustic/Electric ukulele outfit. Like a traditional Les Paul Standard, it features a solid Mahogany body combined with a AAA grade flame maple top for great tone and great looks. The Mahogany neck features a comfortable D-profile shape and is bolted onto the body with 4-recessed screws for rock-solid stability and ease of service. Its Rosewood fingerboard features a concert length 15" scale and 21 nickel/silver frets with a 16" fingerboard radius.

Plug it In and Turn It Up!
Unplugged, this Les Paul Uke has great natural acoustic tone and volume. Plug it in and it really comes alive! Equipped with a high-quality, piezo film pickup located under the saddle, both the natural tone of the strings as well as the sound of and the body are accurately captured and routed to it's durable all-metal, rim-mounted 1/4" output jack. Plug it into a PA System or amplifier and it sounds great! And loud too!

*****This instrument is everything I hoped for.***** Both of mine have incredibly "soft" low action, which I require due to a wrist injury (not from ukuleles!). I immediately put white Aquila strings on them. I compete directly with guitars and pianos for gigs, and I need an instrument that has lots of frets (19!), and can play EVERYTHING and sound wonderful! Jazz, Motown, Blues, R&B, Pop and more. I need an instrument that can play it all! This is it! I won't play anything else onstage during a dance gig!

I bought this when it still was priced at $120-ish. I needed a ukulele that worked with an amp, and it served that purpose well. However, the stock strings are garbage, the acoustic sound isn't great (even replaced with Aquila strings), and the lack of controls make this uke a complete beginner when it comes to gigging/performing.

Honestly, I bought it on a lark when it was $120, but found that it was actually quite good, considering. Styling awesome, finish nice. I hook it up to a small amp with variable effects so sound is great. (I changed the strings.)

Owned it for a week. I play bass, guitar, mandolin, and played a uke for over 50 years. This is a well built instrument, but I found it very quiet, the action was very high and the black strings were to thin and hurt my fingers. The electronics were OK, but no volume control. Thank you L & McQ for your 30 day return policy. I took it back and bought a Kala with electronics. Night and day difference. The Kala has an awesome sound both unplugged and plugged in. The pickup has volume, tone, and a built in tuner. It was only $35 more at the time and worth every penny.

I own the Cherry coloured one. I bought it because my hand gets sore and I had a 4-hour gig to play with long sets. You should have seen all the people dancing to its music! It's a natural to play "Rock and Roll", Blues, Country and pop. I bought a patch cable with an on-off switch because there is no volume control. Sounds great plugged in. Its voice is a soft played as an acoustic. I want the black sunburst one too.

One cool & slick looking Uke. Well made & professional looking. Good sounding & even better when plugged into a small amp. For the price, you couldn't get any better than this. D-profile neck is more comfortable than a squared neck. I'm happy!

Tuning gears seem slip a bit. I have to tune a little every day, an issue I don't have with my other 4 Ukes. The ukulele seems to be overly resonant in relation to the E string so any chord having an open E, is overpowered by this string. Changing the strings made the sound much more pleasant, but the E resonance is still a minus. It is well built and very playable and keep it in my collection, but I'll stick with using it with my amp.

It comes alive amped clean, no effects. Very slight hum (think Strat) when close to the amp. Nice action but be careful with the uber tiny frets high up. A keeper and worth every nickel! Like a classical guitar starting on the fifth frets.

Lot's fun to play. Everybody says that. Nice bluesy edge if you go looking for it. Maybe a little laid back acoustically but plug it in and it rocks. The strings that it ships with suck. Invest $10 in a set of Aquilas. Put them on immediately and your good to go. Otherwise this would be a 5 out of 5.

Got this little baby for christmas. After getting the strings changed and the action lowered (L&M lowered it for free, thanks guys!), it plays like a dream! Build quality is superb, its got a solid weight to it, and plugging it into effect pedals is just awesome. 10/10 would recommend.

I play the guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin but ever since I got this little beauty I can't seem to put it down.If you already play the guitar it won't take long to learn the basic chords and it's a whole lot easier to carry around. You can learn C,Am,F,G in about 10 mins and impress your friends with how talented you are.

I bought this for my little boy who is five. I started playing guitar on my mum's orders at nine. I had trouble with the size of the guitar, especially forming proper chords, so I planned to start him on a uke. I first saw this in the UK, and planned to have it sent over. Learning to play a uke for a little boy is a good idea before transitioning to a guitar when he is older. I saw this online and went to the store to look at it. It wasn't even on the sales floor, and the assistant said they sell them as soon as they get them so I bought it straight away. I bought a fender acoustic-electric guitar amp to go with it. I haven't given it to my little boy yet, but I keep taking it out of the box because it is so beautiful. Build quality is excellent, price is excellent, sound quality is excellent too - although it's only competition are acoustic uke's. My son is only five, but I know he will enjoy owning this uke; so hopefully that will inspire him to want to play it without much persuasion (I have bought a few two chord songs to learn), and hopefully he will learn to appreciate really well made instruments that give back as much as you put into them

I was looking for a first Uke. I looked across the store and thought "What the hec is that?" I bought it 10 seconds later. For guitar players thinking about buying one, the fingering is completely different, but in 10 minutes you can learn the 5-6 chords you need and you can be playing right away. There are a TON of FREE resources online. As for this instrument, it's very well built. The output jack is an awesome feature in case you think you can ever convince your bandmates to work it into the show. :-) The finish look awesome and it sounds great. This thing is very cool. Excellent idea Epiphone.

I was looking for my first ukulele, and bought and returned two ukuleles (ka-s and ka watermellon) before I stumbled upon this one. It has very good build quality, sound, and a nice weight to it. with this it would have been a good ukulele for the price, but they took it seven steps further and added awesome uncommon for uke features. It has an electric input, two guitar strap points, and a pick guard so you can use your favorite picks without damaging your uke. I hadn't realized how much an input would affect the ukulele, until I started using effects pedals with it! Mucho fun. I've heard some people complain about it being quiet, however I prefer it this way, so I can screw around without disturbing others, and when I need it loud the sky is the limit because of the input. Also have you seen how it looks!? Hot Wieners. 10/10 would bang.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
