All my electric guitars have Floyd Rose bridges but the gold ones are my favourites, they are classy and beautiful. They perform just as awesome as they look.

I had an Ibanez RG-350 series guitar. That came with their Edge trem. Maybe I had a really old version of that. But I was very much not happy with how it felt. The trem arm always had "backlash" (would move a bit without actually moving the trem. This was terrible to try to get used to, because when you do adjust for the movement needed, then go play on a different guitar without the trem backlash you have to reset your playing habits.
What sold it for me was when I did some reading and you tube video watching and learned that perhaps a lot of the licensed copies of floyd rose trem systems do not use the high quality metals as the original floyd rose trem does. At least, I can confirm my trem was made from some soft kind of alloy, since most of the time when i went to change my strings I had to file the "flattened" edge off the knife area. And I was only using 009 strings!.. Like having to fight with the terrible quality metal and then reintonate it often.
After putting this in, it is rock solid. Much more adjustable for the positions of the saddles. And there is that nice little shim that comes with it as an option to adjust the neck radius of your guitar. It only took me an evening to put it in. And there are youtube videos to help you here as well.
I also got the fat brass block upgrade. The trem block that came with this was really nice. But the fat brass block is. well. nicer. I figure if i am spending as much as I did for the new trem, i might as go a little bit more and get the brass block upgrade. (Hint: measure your guitar to make sure you get the right size too).
But my only regret from getting this is that I did not do it sooner. Sure, the trem alone straight up cost more than my entire guitar. But I have a guitar that feels exactly as I ever wanted it to feel. it plays like an extension of my hands now. There is no backlash on the trem arm. And the resonance of a fat piece of brass is, well. so much more than the s**t little piece of zinc block or what ever allow I had before!
