Had one of these from new. For the first year it was great. But the weak link in this otherwise fine stand is the woefully under-engineered boom pivot. It's a fragile piece of plastic that has to keep the boom at the correct angle, AND it is the tightening point to keep the boom from sliding back and forth in its channel. When that pivot wears out, you end up with a heavy, expensive piece of yard sale material. The Atlas SB36 has a much more substantial pivot made of steel and clearly meant to withstand the rigors of constant use. Pity Ultimate Support weren't thinking ahead when they designed the MC125.

I have just bought a second one of these because I was so happy with the first one. Very solid construction. Lots of adjustment options, so you can get the mic exactly where you want it. You don't have to install the wheels if you don't want to - there are rubber feet on the bottom of the base. You get what you pay for - this is worth it.
