This pad has all. The rubber mimics the bounce of a snare, and is quiet as well! I can play this through the night because of how quiet it is. The rubber is also very durable and from what I'm seeing it'll last more than a year. Although it's a step down from the Vic firth heavy hitter slim pad which I also recommend it's a great bang for your buck.

I've had this drum pad for well over a year and there are no signs of aging, the only down side is the back material can be not as ?grippy? as other pads when playing on your lap...
