I have a semi-hollow bass with trapeze style tailpiece that needs extremely long strings to set up properly. It requires a ball end to silk/taper measurement of 38.75". This is as problem as "extra long scale" is a different measurement for each string manufacturer, with several notable brands being too short. Rotosound gives measurement on their website for extra long scale as 39". Upon stringing my bass with these they're actually slightly longer than 39" by about 1/4", which is perfect for my application. Very happy.
