A celebration of the birth of the Tele® in the early 1950s, the Classic Vibe '50s Telecaster creates incredible tone courtesy of the Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style Telecaster bridge with barrel saddles and string-through-body design. This throwback Squier model also features 1950s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

I went in intent on buying a USA telecaster and liked this one better. If you don't care what name is on the headstock this is almost as good as a fender but is in the $500 range. For the price it has no business being as good as it is. Very impressed!!

Oh my goodness, what a guitar, I just got! I was not too sure about getting a telecaster, with it's lack of whammy bar and only two knobs, but, am I ever glad I got it. The playing quality, the solid feel of it, the sustain it has, it is just a more purely musical connection compared to a strat. It's hard to put into words. If you are going to play an electric guitar, you really do want to have both a tele and strat, believe it or not. I love the glossy fingerboard and the color. Of my 6 guitars, it is my favorite. If I could only own one guitar, this would be it. Love it.

Traded in my less than 1 year old Squier Affinity Tele at the Vaudreuil-Dorion store. Douglas super helpful with all my needs, kudos to him! Wanted to upgrade primarily from ceramic to alnico pickups. Bought it and brought it home. After tuning it up, intonation spot on (was still in the factory packaging). Very pleased with the neck and action. Shout out to L&M store Vaudreuil..

I had seen and read a lot of good things about this guitar online. So, I decided to try it. I am not really a Fender guy, Les Paul is my weapon of choice. But Tele's have a nice variety of tones you can get out of them. So, for the price I figured it was worth trying out. First thing (which is why the 4.5 for Quality) I noticed when I got it home was the Pots were loose both tone and volume pot nuts were loose. so had to tighten them before I could play it. Clearly not top notch inspection at the Squire factory. However having said that, there really wasn't much else to find wrong with it. It has a very nice finish on the body and neck. the neck feels very nice and the fretting was pretty good quality. It even has a bone nut. It plays very well and has a beautiful nice warm tone with the neck pickup when playing blues. This Guitar plays and feels like a much higher end guitar. I am very pleased with the value. For the price point you will be very happy. Would recommend this guitar to anyone.

I love my CV now, but it took quite some effort. - Volume pot was wobbly, not because the cap was not fastened but because the actual pot was not fastened properly to the control plate. - Intonation was very poor (I know, 3 saddles will never be perfect, but I'm talking really bad intonation). - The string tree was not rotated properly, so the E and B strings were not slotted in the notch under the tree. - B string was buzzing, but only when played open - the nut slot needed filing to adjust its width and angle. I know this has nothing to do with L&M, it's bad QC from Squier. Not too hard to fix if you know how to setup a guitar, I must admit. It's so beautiful, so cool, so playable! Effing love it now.

supreme value. i actually prefer the old school gloss neck and fretboard finish over satin (yes, i'm 65). i use it for the neck pickup with tone rolled back for a jazz tone. really warm and balanced, i believe mine has the low output front lipstick pickup, very sweet and polite. best of all is the extremely playable neck, medium c shape and easily set up for very low action. purchasing this guitar was a no brainer for me.

Perfect setup, quality is as good as the American made version. They only need to make the back of neck a satin finish.

Just got it at the local L&M. Wow. If it doesn't melt you with it's jaw dropping good looks, it will when you play it. It sounds and plays good. Feels extremely solid, even more than my Gibson Les Paul. Little sticky until you get used to it when you get it home, and then it begins to shine. If I was stuck on a remote island and could only have one guitar for the rest of my life, it would be a Telecaster. And this one is the best deal I've seen. Highly recommended.

As someone who favours the Telecaster for live performance, I needed to get a backup Telecaster for my main Telecaster (a modded 2006 Fender.) Although the classic vibe may sometimes be positioned as a beginner's guitar, it can just as easily serve as a pro's backup for a few reasons. The barrel saddles and ashtray bridge are a vintage feature, and add to the spank of this guitar's sound. The Alnico magnets have a bit of bite and traditional vintage tone, with a lot of character (this guitar sounds much more traditional than the SCN pickups in my main Tele.) The neck is a modern neck, and this guitar did not feel any different in my hands, despite the vintage tuners and saddles. She has a fast neck with a modern curve. The finish is a lovely butterscotch pine not too deeply embedded in polyurethane, and due to being pine, she's not too heavy. This guitar sounds great, feels great, and plays great. She's a fine addition to the collection of a musician at any point on their journey.

I'm blown away by how good this guitar is, Played a USA tele and a few others to make sure it's didn't get better. Felt better and sounded better to me than all the fenders I tried that day. I had to have it, a month later and I'm still in love with this Guitar.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
