i have had these cymbals for about 9 months now and they have taken a lot of playing. I'm not sure if it's the way i play but the whole outside edge of the 2 crashes are rippled and ruined. I'm not sure what they would sound like in a studio setting but in my basement where there are lots of metal beams and such they sound okay, i can't expect much for $250 for 3 cymbals and hi-hats
