Diamond Reflections was composed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. The work progresses from a sombre, militaristic intro to a jovial symphonic ending, exploring various ensemble colours along the way. The U.S. Air Force Song is suggested throughout the work and the Air Force Hymn, Lord, Guard & Guide, makes an appearance as a trumpet solo and horn soli. This grand and well-scored piece is great for all of your patriotic programming needs.
