I've written a few other reviews. Mine tend to go on the long side, but, strings being strings, I'll try to keep this quick. These things are good. 4.5/5 star good. When I walked into my local store (back in August), I had no idea what strings to go for. Only, having done a significant amount of personal research to get myself knowledgeable about guitars, that this acoustic I'm using was the steel stringed variety, and was promptly pointed towards these by an extremely helpful staff member whose name I cannot remember. I do not regret spending a few extra dollars (compared to other brands) as these things sound fantastic. I no longer have an excuse not to keep (attempting to) teach myself guitar.

I am using these on a Taylor 314CE - they sound much better than the Elixir strings that Taylor use (but I understand the need for coated strings on a new instrument hanging in a store, being played by many customers). Nicely balanced sound, intonation is very good. Taylors tend to be pretty bright sounding, so these strings help to mellow out the acoustic tone. The light guage strikes a good balance bewteen playability in standard tuning, while still being taut enough to use open tunings. They last a long time for me, so are a great value. Good strings for the working pro, consistent from set to set - D'Addario's quality control is probably the best in the biz.

I thought just for fun I'd try these super extra light strings on my cedar top AY 371S Yamaki. They weren't too expensive, so I thought what the heck, I'll give them a try. Well, I can not believe how good they sound. I had been using Elixirs 12's ....but these D'Addario strings really, really sound good. I might try a heavier gauge next but if that doesn't make a big difference I'll go back to the 10's. The 10's has made the guitar such a pleasure to play.

I put these on one of my acoustics for a different sound. It's tuned like the higher harmonics on a 12 string. Great strings from a great manufacturer

I've put a set of EJ26 on my Gibson J15 last December of 2016, and as of April 25, 2017, they still sound good (although I should be putting 12-53's on this Gibson, I prefer 11-52's). I play this guitar for an hour on a daily basis. They haven't rusted like other brands I've tried, at all (and I'm known to go through a set very fast due to a too acid PH)! Those strings stay well tuned, even with some bending here and there. I'm still amazed, as I used to change strings every 2 weeks with other uncoated brands.

I bought an fg720sL and loved the feel of this guitar(inexpensive with excellent tone). A little arthritis in my hands and right wrist makes me appreciate the give of these apparently standard??? D'addario EJ26's over ej16's

I use the EJ16 and 26 on my Tanglewood Sundance, the sound is bright and clean and once stretched out they stay in tune. Tried Helix, Markley and Pearse strings but always come back to the D'addario. They last longer with a simple wipe too, the others, especially the Helix, rusted quickly.
