Andrew Boysen Jr. composed this break-neck fanfare for the University of New Hampshire, which after 150 years, continues to "rest lightly on old Ben Thompson's farm." An extended timpani solo opens the piece, with a melodic idea formed by a musical cryptogram of the school's mascot, "Wild E. Cat." There's no "resting lightly" for the woodwinds as the fast-moving melody passes from section to section with interjections from the brass and percussion.
