My favourite features of the book are the slurred hand position markings, visibly demonstrating the finger groupings in each scale with great clarity, as well as the simplicity of notating each exercise only in its ascending form. Great font size, terrific value. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent scales and arpeggios book for beginners. I have been using this scale book for some time now and I have found immense success with my students in teaching proper scale and arpeggio technique as well as preparation for early RCM exams. I highly recommend every piano teacher to use this book with their beginner students!

This is an excellent scale book for beginners. There is no other book like it. It’s simple and easy to read and makes learning scales and arpeggios easy.
I highly recommend this. This is the only scale book I use for the early years/beginners. Thank you to Long and McQuade for carrying it.
