Répondre: No, this amp sounds great quiet. It has an attenuator letting you drive the amp at much lower wattages.

This amp is solid state, but it sounds just like the tube version! It is easy to carry, sounds great, and the power attenuator makes it easy to go to breakup while still keeping the volume low.

I don’t know how this compares with its tube counterpart, but the TM version sounds rich and glassy. The fit and finish is outstanding and apart from the “Tone Master” logo on the front, it looks identical. Time will tell how durable these amps will be. Watch YouTube reviews and comparisons to the originals and see for yourself how great they respond and sound. I’d highly recommend this product. Go try one. My guess is 90% of you won’t leave the store without one.

Purchased this amp mainly because of the attenuater. I often practice at 3:00 a.m. and my 65 Deluxe reissue tube version is too loud. Spent a couple of daylight hours comparing both amps with a variety of guitars. With all settings the same, volume between 6 and 10, it is nearly impossible to tell the difference. Attenuated tone is not much different at half power. Lower settings are not as ballsy, but that's to be expected. Long&McQuade has great people who make sure you get the right product for your requirements.

Spoiler alert --the last traditional tube amp I've bought was in 1968 and I truly don’t have a lot of experience other than owning a few smaller modeling amps recently. I don't gig or lug it around much, but I just wanted great sound, great sound. I had rented a blues junior and a pro junior and really loved the blues junior BUT it just got SO loud so fast, and I found it hard to control volume and at lower volumes that are house friendly.... well, it just didn't do it for me-- cranked up it did but.... So, I really looked at the Tonemaster and decided to order one. L & M needed to bring it in from a different store, but that process wasn't that lengthy and was flawless. After owning it for only two months I can say that it still leaves me breathless. Using the attenuator means I can get the sound I want, clear or breaking up a bit at volumes that don't loosen the drywall screws. The sound is to my ear incredible at any volume level, and the reverb is everything that reviewers say. I fiddled hours with the smaller modeling amps I have and never truly got the sounds I wanted. This amp makes it simple since this IS the sound I want. Others may be able to tell the difference in sound between this and the tube model; but I sure can’t. I play mostly for my own enjoyment, occasional inflicting my meagre talents on others. I'll probably never take advantage of all the power but just using this truly makes me smile. A simple looper pedal works wonderfully and is probably all I'll ever add. I also didn’t want any maintenance issues (I know, who knows yet but they’re not tubes). It also doesn't hurt that it looks straight out of 50 years ago

I think Fender hit it out of the park with the tone master series. Keep your old rare tube amps at home...this was made to take on the road. Sounds great in general (not JUST for a modeling amp).

Picked this up used, to complement my other amps. A month or two later, it’s getting played the most. Not the best DR I’ve ever heard, but with an AlNiCo speaker in it and the latest firmware, I prefer it over a standard DRRI. Hot tip: the AlNiCo driver increased the weight by less than half a pound- still very easy on the back. An unexpected advantage of mixing a Jensen speaker with the Blonde version of the firmware, is having two different sounds to work with. The AlNiCo driver nudges it closer to vintage Blackface and Tweed territory, while the DI output sounds like a rocker’s modded Deluxe with a Celestion in it. I struggled over the Features rating. A Deluxe Reverb with an attenuator and that never needs to be mic’d up, can cover a LOT of ground, so that’s a 5. It’s a surprisingly good pedal platform, so that’s another 5. Plug the DI into a powered speaker, and it’s louder, lighter, and the combination is still cheaper than a Twin Reverb. Is that a 4, or a 5? These days, a SS amp that only models one amp is a bit of an anachronism, so that’s a 3. Or is it another 5, because there’s no menu diving, and it only takes a couple of minutes to perform reversible mods in firmware? I give up. You’ll have to decide for yourself.

The amplifier I previously owned actually caused me to spend more time sitting at my computer than actually playing. To my last day of ownership, I had still not found my "sound". When I purchased Tone Master, I plugged it in, spent maybe 5-10 minutes turning a few knobs and presto, my sound was there! I truly believe that the 99% identical sound to the tube amp will make this - and other amps that meet the same technology, the end of the inconvenience of the tube amps.

Tone Master Deluxe Reverb: Reverb Mod Firmware v1.1.35 on fender website. Modified reverb control for easier fine tuning at lower settings. No bright cap on vibrato channel for smoother treble response when using overdrive and distortion pedals at lower settings. Jensen N12K speaker line out IRs captured with Shure SM57 and Royer 121 microphones. You can revert back to original firmware via USB easily and quickly if you want. The new updates really make the amp sound smooth and the enhanced control on the reverb dial lets you accurately and easily get the reverb just right. Fender really did their homework here by listening to players and implementing changes that can be changed back if you like. I love the updates. Game changer.

This is an outstanding amp! I’ve owned and used many tube amps over the years, Fender Twins with JBL speakers in them(that weighed a ton but sounded great), Fender Bassman 10(75 pounds I believe but the sound it produced was worth it.. And I was younger), A Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue(used by just about every pro guitarist out there, except for me, the pro part anyway), Marshall, Vox, etc. So I’ve been going back and forth on these “emulation” amps. Being a bit of a tube snob I couldn’t see myself liking it. But boy was I wrong!! This TMDR is killer. The sound is there, the weight is not. The balanced XLR output with impulse response and the 6-way power attenuator( master volume) on the back of the amp is the most modern thing you will see on this amp. I AB’d both the DR and the TMDR and was shocked by how identical they sound. So if your on the fence about getting a Tone Master Deluxe Reverb, just go do it. You won’t regret it!! CHEERS all!!

This amp is more than I ever expected....It sounds exactly like a Deluxe Reverb, but has more features....you can carry it with 2 fingers....no tube worries....has a line out for recording....it has an output power setting that lets you get your favorite sound at any volume....the reverb is great....the vibrato is great..... it works great with pedals, but I'm using them less because the amp sounds so good on it's own....I have always been a tube amp guy, but they are collecting dust now....I never imagined I would get this warmth and tone from a solid state amp, and it has all that shimmering top end that you want from a Fender amp.....I'm not affiliated with L&M or Fender, I'm just writing this because I'm blown away with this amp....They could have called it "Tone Monster" !

yup , its still really good , for fun i tried other speakers like a cannabis rex , each speaker had its own (eq) sound , and all were good , i have kept the original speaker in it , it sounds as good as any of em , I smile every time I pick it up and ever time i play it . This amp is 23 lbs - my prs hollowbody is 6 lbs - gt1 is 2 lbs 9 oz , chords ang other stuff is less than 10 lbs ....my gig rig weight is less than 45 lbs ....nice .

takes pedals very well , but i don t really need any , now i see where delay pedals may have come from , reverb with tremolo almost is a delay pedal effect . This amp is a sweet musical instrument . I like it as is or with a drive pedal . To me its actually better than original tube versions with the added modern features , and soundwise , im surprised how good it is , sold my fudge brownie deluxe reverb , hot rod deville, marshall dsl40c . Keep t my katana 100v2 , the fender sounds like a fender , the Katana has its own sound ....both good sounds ,and side by side with my hot rod deluxe4 , i like the tone master more ...hmmm, i seem to be playing the deluxe tone master daily .

I mostly use it as a home practice amp and the tone at lower volume is awesome. Since I’ve owned it I hardly ever use any pedals anymore just because it sounds so amazing clean. Not having to mess with tubes and fact that I can lift the amp off the ground with one finger make it that much better. I’ve been playing for over 30 years and this has been my favourite amp by far.

Great recording features with five attenuated power settings, balanced XLR line output with impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations, mute switch for silent stage or recording use, USB port for firmware upgrades. Plays like a real Fender Deluxe Reverb. Looks like a real Fender Deluxe Reverb. Is half the weight of a real Fender Deluxe Reverb. No tubes to worry about. The reverb and tremolo sound great. Sounds great clean or over-driven. Costs less than a real Fender Deluxe Reverb. Can play for hours without worrying about tube wear. Can mute the built speaker and send line out cab sim to recorder or to PA when stage volume needs to be zero. Versatile options. Fender has made something that guitar players will love. Excellent tube tone and response. Lots of headroom. I own 2 other amps which are tube amps. Same type of performance. I played through a Deluxe Reverb several years back and this compares to it. Picked one up two days ago.....and I love it. I've always loved the sound of the 65 Deluxe Reverb and was contemplating purchasing one. When I saw these were coming out it peaked my interest. I honestly think you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and the tube version. The added bonus is how light it is in comparison. If you're in the market try one of these out.....Fender did a great job on this amp. As always, thanks to the great staff at L & M Oshawa.

Les biens non durables (cordes, anches, baguettes, piles, tubes, etc.) sont exclus, tout comme les dommages accidentels, la détérioration esthétique et les problèmes causés par l’humidité ou la température. Les haut-parleurs endommagés par un usage excessif ne sont généralement pas couverts. Notre garantie ne compense pas la perte de jouissance. A partir de juin 2018, la garantie de performance n'est plus transférable. Valide seulement au Canada.

 

Achat d’années additionnelles de garantie

Certains fabricants offrent une garantie de plus d’un an, mais qui est en général limitée et moins avantageuse que la nôtre. Lorsque c’est le cas, la prolongation de notre protection vous sera tout de même profitable, du fait qu’elle est plus complète et pratique.

Vous pouvez acheter des années supplémentaires de notre protection si vous souhaitez en profiter plus longtemps. Les tarifs sont les suivants :

  • Produits NEUFS : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf par année supplémentaire.
  • Produits D’OCCASION : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf pour passer initialement de trois mois à un an. À partir de 4 % pour chaque année de plus.
  • Guitares : 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf pour passer d’un an à deux. 4 % pour chaque année de plus. Tarif maximum de 45 $. Une mise au point gratuite supplémentaire n’est pas incluse avec l’achat d’années de couverture additionnelles.
  • Instruments d’orchestre : 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf pour passer d’un an à deux. 4 % pour chaque année de plus.
