The B5 is an acoustic foam close-speech popscreen; it provides sufficient protection at normal speaking distances for cardioids and other directional capsules, especially when used with Schoeps P-series microphones. The B5 is effective enough to be used outdoors in light wind with minimal affect on sound quality.
