I installed these in my LP in about 15 minutes. These seem to be the same Grover quality that was installed by Gibson in my non-locking LP. The post diameter is manufactured for a 10mm diameter hole and the alignment screw lines up perfectly and screws are same threading. The post length is a little shorter than the originals that were supplied by Gibson, probably because they don't provide the extra length for string windings.
If you don't have a sound stringing technique, your strings might not stay in tune well, especially if you use a tremolo (Bigsby, etc). Locking tuners will help. If you have a good stringing technique, your strings already stay in tune, but locking tuners are easier and faster - just a better way to do things.

I really like these tuners they work great however, one of them was broken right out of the package. Seems like Grover doesn't have the greatest quality control for these. Also i had to wait two months for Grover to ship the item.

Smooth as butter and exceptionally well crafted. These tuners are a guitarists dream come true. Simple to change and lock down a string - seemingly effortless tuning ability. Highly recommend these if you are planning to swap out your keys.
