I'll be honest, I did not pay full price... I got it for a pretty gnarly price, however it was an upgrade from an epi humbucker to this one, and I'm extremely happy with the sound. Has more of a warm tone, which seems to compliment the SG. Everything that Gibson boasts about it, they back up with the exception that it's high output - when you play on clean. With a good distortion, it sounds pretty awesome! Definitely a good choice.

Had the gents at the Mississauga store install the Tony Iommi pickup into the neck position of my 2013 SGJ. I also had them install a Bigsby B5 trem with the short-tail vibramate. Man this guitar sounds nice! I am currently playing it through a ZOOM GFX-5 Digital Effects Processor and a Roland CUBE 60 amp.
The Tony Iommi pickup has nice rich tones. Add distortion or gain and you are in for a lot of rockin' run! Thanks again guys. Excellent custom work you did for me.
