I really prefer the rectangular cases (I just prefer the way they look) but the salesman said this one was made specifically for SGs, so I went with it. It's a quality case, well made and built to keep the guitar safe wherever it may roam. Very happy with it.

I've had this case for a few years now and has held up fine, all the hardware still functions properly, the guitar is well protected. Great case, perfect for life on the road

Perfectly fits my Epiphone SG Special with no excess space to bounce around. Ample room around the head and a closed compartment under the neck to hold a tuner, strings etc. Made in Canada which is a huge plus.

Bought it, got home, guitar doesn't even come close to fitting. There's a good inch of the body that has no hope of ever fitting. Be taking it back tomorrow.

Great case for under $100, great value without skimping on protection. Excellent for gigging and road trips, i load mine behind the driver's seat or in the truck bed, or lying flat on the rear bench. I would trust it to resist a crush against other gear for a sudden stops (amps etc in the back of the truck, properly loaded not to slide around too much). I would NOT trust it on an airplane, bus or train. (get an SKB for that) {Remember the song, "United breaks Taylor Guitars"!} (c.f. youtube). This case fits Epi, Prophesy, Gibson, and even ESP SG models just fine. Nice snug fit, nice support of the neck and body contour. This case surprisingly also fits the Gibson and Epi "Nighthawk" guitar very well. Some things i dont like. The gold latches tend to corrode after the first year (minor pitting). And the case has no combo lock. But thats a value added I would expect to add $$ to the price point. Things I like. The hinges stay true after lots of use, and the top/bottom alignment doesnt get all wonky. It also looks nice. You dont embarass yourself badly by carrying it onstage for an open mike or local jam. This is a great case for local travel or storing your "case-queens". If you are like me and have a harem of 12+ guits, one can go a month between coming out of the case, depending on the style you're playing at the time. I recommend storing in a standing position, 'Neck-up' with the guitar body snuggly supported at the bottom if you need to keep it in the case for any length of time.

Just like the branded Gibson cases, except for the lack of a combination lock. Great fit for both Gibson and Epiphone SGs regardless of origin (i.e. the subtle variations in body dimensions among various models). Sturdy, trouble-free, I now only buy Yorkville cases when I need a hardshell case.
