Legere Signature Series Alto Sax Reed - Strength 2.5
9 models to choose from:
Legere is pleased to introduce Signature Series technology for the Alto and Tenor Sax. The new reeds follow the spectacular success of their Signature Series clarinet reeds, which have been hailed as a breakthrough in synthetic reeds. The Signature Series clarinet reeds are used by many professionals, including Barnaby Robson, Principal Clarinet of the Philharmonia in London, Larry Combs, former Principal of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and John Moses, a leading session and pit pro in New York. Larry Combs has said the Signature Series reeds are"... equal to or better in many respects than the best cane reeds".
Legere reeds are available for virtually all saxophones and have a beautiful tone and range, together with all the normal advantages of a synthetic reed. They have two cuts for Alto Sax and three cuts for Tenor Sax. The original cuts are designed for a darker sound and generally used for a classical set-up. The Studio Cut reeds are free blowing, bright and flexible. New players should choose the Studio Cut or the new Signature Series (for Alto and Tenor Sax only.)

I am a beginner and simply got fed up with the fuss of cane reeds. I prefer this to the Rico orange and Royal reeds. Put it on and blow, consistent, does not change while you are playing on doesn't die in a few weeks. I have been using it for about 2 months. The tone is slightly different to the cane ones, but I prefer it.
