Along with many other brands of instrument cables, including, but not limited to Yorkville, and Ernie Ball, the Fender Tweed are just as small studio friendly as the next quality instrument cable.
In my opinion, I would not take any of them on the road so to speak. A touring musician can have rock solid road warrior cables built inexpensively.

Bought a few as they look good and I thought they were professional quality. Had one fail, took months to get the warranty replacement, and after two weeks of easy in-home use, the replacement failed.
I have many good quality cables and no failures except for these so called fender deluxe, and the now discontinued fender custom shop cables.
Have a friend that has also had two of these cables fail.
Do yourself a favour and get the yorkville cables. Not as pretty, but they are reliable and have a better warranty.
