The Yorkville LP-LED4 has been designed from the ground up to be the ideal ultra compact mobile lighting system for duos, bands or DJ's. Needing an LED system that is fully functional and delivers enough lighting coverage to compete with the popular conventional Yorkville LP304 and LP302 systems, the Yorkville LP-LED4 consists of four compact light pods, each containing four 16 watt high- intensity RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) LEDS. This innovative design delivers excellent colour uniformity across the spread pattern and enough light intensity to make an LED system practical for virtually any application.

Unlike most LED light cans currently on the market, each pod on the LP-LED4 emit a mixed colour, not an array of individual coloured LEDs that can be distracting to the audience. This also means the artist setting up their scene or the light designer building a set can see the colour being displayed in the pod. This also ensures the only light visible to the audience is the light chosen for the scene and not the LED elements.

Each pod on the LP-LED4 displays a beam angle of +/- 13 degrees which projects approximately a four and a half foot diameter circle on a stage at 10 feet from the source. The LP-LED4 can be used on the floor for foot-lighting or colour washing a wall, or mounted on a standard tripod speaker stand for use in a typical stage application. There are also four threaded mounting points on each bar for easy installation. The LP-LED4 can be controlled via the LP-608 with a Link Audio AA57 adapter

Technology:
Each pod on the LP-LED2 and LP-LED4 emit a complete mixed colour, not an array of individual coloured LEDs that can be distracting to the audience or diminish a finished professional stage view. This also ensures the only light visible to the audience is the light chosen for the scene and not the LED elements.

The artist setting up scenes or the light designer building a set can see the colour being displayed in the pod, making lighting design as simple and straightforward as possible.

Light pods on LP-LED systems display a beam angle of +/- 13 degrees which projects approximately a four and a half foot diameter circle on a stage at 10 feet from the source.

LP-LED2 and LP-LED4 can be controlled by proprietary desktop (LP-C12) or floor (LP-C4) controllers direct connected to the light bars using standard XLR microphone cables. In simple effect and ambient lighting applications, LP-LED light bars can operate as standalone units with, colour chase and fades set directly on the bars themselves. For more complex applications, LP-LED lights can be incorporated into larger systems with optional user installed DMX3 and DMX5 cards.

Q & A

Question: Can I upgrade these to DMX as I have a number of them
- asked on Oct 16, 2023
Answer: Unfortunately, they no longer make the DMX cards for these. The new LP-LED4x has a DMX option and you could always trade the older ones in towards the newer ones at one of our stores. Here is the link for the new one: https://www.long-mcquade.com/85968

I've rented these a few times with the foot controller and they're simply amazing. Super bright lights, easy to set up, and as user friendly as a product could ever hope to be. The foot controller is a must for any artist or band like ours as we generally do our own sound and lights.

I've been part of the live music scene for over 15 years and work internationally and have experienced my share of good and bad lighting. I bought 4 of these Dimmer Bar's a year ago along with the matching foot controller, 2 carry bags and 4x50' XLR cables. These are very expensive, high quality & worth every penny. I'm still paying for them... Thanks to L&M's awesome in house financing. You can't go wrong. I have no regrets on this purchase. These things were designed by people who know, and get it. My lighting is second to none and my clients are amazed every time. Like another reviewer said here.... If you think they are too expensive... move on. Really though, you would only be kidding yourself. If live performances are your only or main income and your busy, you deserve these. I have read a ton of speculation regarding these units on the forums. Trust in this review... LED Puck lights have nothing on these.

These things are not cheap, monitarily or quality. No cheesy plastics here. If you think they're too expensive, move on, nothing to see here. Bought 'em with the foot controller, glad I did!!! Top shelf feature is; Made in Toronto, Canada Thanks YS

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
