2 models to choose from:
The APEX Series Keyboard Stands represent over two decades of research and development and are used all over the world by gigging keyboard players and touring musicians. The AX-90 and AX-48 Pro offer everything keyboard players loved about the original APEX keyboard stand while offering sleek new designs and updated features that support a whole new generation of keyboards and workstations. APEX AX-48 Pro Product Breakdown:
Sleek, New Design
APEX-quality Features
Professional Tri-bar Arms
Simple Setup and Tear Down
Sleek, New Design
The modern look and shape of the APEX AX-48 Pro takes a nod from its big brother, the flagship AX-90, and brings the keyboard player out from behind a stack of no-character keyboard stands and into the spotlight with the rest of the band. The footprint of the new AX-48 Pro has not changed from the previous APEX, but now offers an updated column design that is as esthetically pleasing as it is performance ready.
APEX-quality Features
Everything keyboard players have come to appreciate about the APEX keyboard stand for over two decades is still available in the new APEX AX-48 Pro. It's THE original column style keyboard stand that securely holds two keyboards out of the box (up to 125 lbs each!). The patented, Tri-bar arms are height adjustable, the support legs are super stable and it's incredibly easy to setup, tear down and transport from gig to gig.
Professional Tri-bar Arms
Keyboards, synthesizers and keyboard workstations have evolved in the last two or three decades since the original APEX was developed. The APEX AX-40 Pro now ships with two sizes of Tri-bar arms (one set of 13" arms and one set of 18" arms) to safely hold today's keyboards, synthesizers and keyboard workstations of all sizes.
Simple Setup and Tear Down
Setup and tear down takes seconds! The AX-48 Pro breaks down into a single, slender unit that's easy to transport and doesn't take up hardly any room because the hollow column becomes its own carrying case! The legs remain connected and slide into and out of the base of the column and the arms that support your keyboards are stored in compartments at the top of the column.

This thing is very heavy! So it's very stable and your keyboards won't shake when you play them hard. However the tripod legs make it difficult to use pedals as they get in the way on the floor... I cannot use it when I need my organ bass pedal board. Nothing is perfect but this stand can still be useful if you don't use too many floor switches. The price is a bit over the top as many parts are made from cheap plastic and rubber.

Looks great, like the features. BUT these things are really fragile. The stand is basically a tripod with retractable legs and I've had these break twice in a year and a half. First time was within a few months of purchase and was covered by the 'lifetime warranty.' Broke a second time and it doesn't look like Apex is going to replace it again. The 'arms' that your keyboards sit on have rubber pads to help keep the boards from sliding -- these were torn off in a few months and I'm told this is a common problem due to cheap glue. I expected to get much more use out of the stand based on the $200+ price tag. In my opinion save the money and get a generic X stand -- not as pretty but much more durable.

Solid construction, easy to cart around and takes up little space in storage. However: It takes up an odd amount of space on stage, isn't very flexible to adjustment and is awkward for stage use. I have many stands, including one of these which is in my basement somewhere.

I have have various stands over the years and this product
is by far the sturdiest and most convenient on I have owned. I just bought another one so I can leave one set up in the studio and one ready to gig with. For 2-3 keyboard set-ups you won't regret buying this stand. Cheers M

This stand has stood the test of time with touring and practice. Fully adjustable and stable. I recommend it to anyone. Plus it will not break. My only issue is that the stop lid doesn't close properly any more.
