I just bought this switch and had two concerns. One concern was about the needed cable being unavailable at Long & and McQuade. Not so. It's just a 1/4" stereo male to male and was readily available at my store. The other concern was about no on/off switch and one might have to remove the battery. Turns out it works like the battery in my bass, unplug the cord from the peddle and it's off. I look forward to using this with my new Katana 50 for years to come

Picked one of these up as it is what Roland specifies to use with the Roland AC60 acoustic amp that I recently purchased. So its expensive for a foot switch, but not overly so. So I get it home and it turns out that I need a special Y cable to use the thing. They specify using a special Boss cable which L&M doesn't carry. Online it'll cost about $60 delivered. After a little research I find that a Hosa Cable STP201 will do the exact same thing for $7.12 on Amazon. So after a week I can finally use this thing. The actual unit does what it is supposed to, however I feel that it has some major design flaws. The first issue is that there is no on/off switch and no input for an AC adapter, meaning you can only power off a 9V battery and that you have to unplug it every time you finish using it. My second issue is the indicator lights on each of the two pedals that indicate that the effect is active, do not stay lit. In my case the pedal activates chorus and delay and while strumming an acoustic it is not easy to hear if the delay is on or off. Would have been nice if those lights were illuminated while the effect was active. Again, this thing does what I need it to do, but for the price it should do it a lot better.

Bought this Pedal when I got a used Peavey Valveking that the seller did not have the Peavey footswitch. Had it set up in minutes, does what a footswitch is supposed to do. Left side changes channels, Right side enables the "Boost" circuit for solo's Metal body is more robust than Peavey plastic switch and more Pedalboard friendly size. Works as advertised.

I loved this pedal. I used it to control my drum machine for starts Stops and Fills. and setting tempos. this is the perfect pedal for what I needed. I have only had it for 2 and a bit weeks, and my Right pedal has stopped working. And there is a slight delay in the right. It may just be that I got the rare lemon pedal. I will be bringing it back to the store. I highly recommend Boss products. I think I was just one of the unlucky ones to get a the rare bad ones.

Needed a footswitch for my peavey valveking 2x12 combo and this did the job perfect. Right happy about it, and cause you can play with the polarity and the latch it can be used with almost any other amp needing a 2 button switch. You'll need to buy a cable (stereo cable in my case) which is fine, can be as long as you want!

I originaly got this for my RC-2 looper. BOSS is horible for making you have to pay stuff that should come with their products. Power supplies for example. At least this item can be used with other stuff. With the ability to set polarity and go latched or unlatched I can use this puppy on a varity of things made by Alesis, Digitech and other items that allow external pedals.

It adds a lot of functionality to the great ME-70 in my effects run, especially useful in the memory bank navigation which was really hard to navigate without these extra pedals. Super well built, they've been stood on for over a year now and respond super quick and without a single hiccup, even after the cat peed on it, just a bit of cleaning and it worked perfectly. However rather expensive as it shouldn't be necessary to buy a $45 accessory to make your ME-70 work the way it should have from the start.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
