Beckenhorst Press Inc Psalm 91 - Courtney - SATB
Additional Photos:
Composer: Craig Courtney
Format: Choral Octavo
Voicing: SATB with piano accompaniment
Based on the 91st Psalm, this anthem beckons us away from life's anxiety and turmoil to the safety and solitude of God's presence. The image of the free, soaring bird is embodied in the flute's phrases that are woven throughout the choir's simple statements of the psalm text. After a rhapsodic climax, the anthem dies down to the quietness with which it started. The flute part and a full score and string quartet parts are available separately.
