Swift, deadly and affordable, Jackson JS Series guitars take an epic leap forward, making it easier than ever to get classic Jackson tone, looks and playability without breaking the bank.

The JS Series Dinky JS12 features a poplar body, bolt-on maple speed neck with graphite reinforcement for rock-solid stability and a 12"-radius amaranth fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and white dot inlays. The flat radius allows for easier chording, feels great for rhythm playing and handles bends well during lead playing.

A pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets cranks out clear tone with plenty of girth, and can be shaped with a three-way toggle switch and single volume and tone controls.

The JS12 has all-black hardware, including the synchronized fulcrum tremolo bridge, die-cast tuners and standard strap buttons.

Offering more for less, the JS12 comes in four finishes - Gloss Black, Metallic Blue, Metallic Red and Snow White.

Bought this for my first guitar, was very well taken care of by a fella called Shawn I believe. He got me set up great and gave good advice. My customer experience at the store was excellent.
Only hiccup I encountered was once I brought the guitar home, the output jack on the guitar came apart the second time I used it.
I fixed it, finnicky but not complex. Then the nut holding it together would not stay tight after a few plug-unplugs and would come apart again. I live out of town and going to store for a repair is a traffic hassle. I called the store to inform them and get advice on the fix.
After the third time it came apart I used some carpenter glue, only glue I had and wasn’t sure if superglue would make it too hard to take apart if needed. Holding so far.
Proper bummer to have a brand new guitar from the store break, even if it’s small and fixable. Killed that new guitar feeling. Purposely didn’t shop online.

I am a big Jackson fan, all my guitars are Jackson/Charvel. I bought this guitar a while back for a beater guitar and every intent to mod. The JS series are a great platform guitar for this purpose. Came from the factory set up really well she played almost perfect out of the box. She’s solid, pretty light but with a good balanced weight to it, the neck is smooth a thin and I really noticed this first; quite enjoyable to play. The pickups aren’t anything special but I was still impressed, good high output, great for chugging but the cleans were especially nice. After a few modifications I sold the guitar to a friend who also really loved the guitar. I think I may have to buy another and I am keeping it this time.

played this a week ago other than it being cheap could not find one cosmetic flaw/qc issue. no sharps frets or high frets BUT the tuners are garbage lol swap the tuners out and you will have a nice guitar and a 12 inch radius with no binding which will make re-fretting a breeze because come on, you know they're not going to put frets made out of good metal on this but if you are looking for a beater guitar that you can learn on and learn how to make your own repairs/upgrades then this is it. give it a try

For this price range, I was blown away! It's set up perfectly, the balance is spot on, the action is just the way I like it and it stays in tune extremely well when trem bar is employed. For a comparable price I am confident to say that Jackson has made a model that surpasses it's peers. I couldn't enjoy playing this more! Buy one!

I just purchased this Jackson Electric Guitar model from Long and Mcquade and I'm happy to say that I'm very pleased with the guitars sound, feel and over all very impressed with the time and care the company puts into the set up of the guitar, the packaging and the overall quality of components and worksmanship. It's ready play right out of the box...it just needs Tuning... that's all.

The guitar was set up nicely when I got it. It plays like a much more expensive guitar, it is fast. I thought I would have to change out the stock pickups but they sound great(very hot, high output).

A good sounding and great feeling guitar for its price. The strings out the box feel a bit rough and the guitar holds tuning really poorly when it comes to using the whammy. Besides all of that, I'm happy with the purchase and playing the guitar.

for a guitar of this price, I can't complain about the sound and it actually feels great to play, but when using the whammy bar all the strings hold tune awfully.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
