This stand is fantastic!. Holds the drum securely and allows the tom to resonate with very minimal choking. The tom is very stable as the centre of gravity lies directly over the down tubing. I laid into the tom for a 2 hour set and it held it's ground with ease. I replaced my DW 9000 Airlift snare stand with the HTS58F and my back is eternally grateful. The fit and finish is surprisingly exceptional for such a lightweight and affordable stand. Tama has been hitting it out of the park lately with innovative hardware improvements. While this is an improvement to a well established design, it suffers none of the foibles the vintage flat based stands were known for. This is the best investment I've made for my drum set this year!.
