I don't think that this is a product which requires a lot of context from me, but I'll include this to be safe: I'm in my latter years of high school, don't have a job thanks to the pandemic delaying my search for a first one (thanks to multiple reasons). Parents ended up covering most of this purchase, because my 3-year-old "Gaming" HyperX Cloud II headset pretty much died last week, right after I spent everything on a large MIDI Controller. These were pretty much as far as my budget for headphones was willing to stretch, even if I could entirely pay for them myself (as I had initially intended)
I was initially considering buying the 250-Ohm model. I do happen to own a Behringer UMC404HD, and plugging them into its headphone amp, then outputting Windows audio to the interface over USB. However, because I don't keep it anywhere near my PC, moving the interface around the house on a near-daily basis would be very inconvenient, buying a standalone headphone amp was absolutely not in my budget, and it was going to get used entirely at my desktop anyways, so I went with the 80-Ohm model.
As for the headphones: I'm very pleased with it. These are pretty expensive - I was considering the 990 Pros for the open design, but $60 more for the 80-Ohm model was a deal breaker - but sound nice. They're much more even.
As for the headphones themselves - I agree with Nikki below. They sound great, and feel pretty even, frequency wise, though I'd say they're slightly lacking in the bass department. This might just be me coming from a fairly uneven headset though, so I'm not sure about that. The earcups feel reasonably wide, fitting over mine easily, but firmly, unlike some models I tried in-store. They're somewhat weighty and warm up quickly, but, unlike my old headset, feel comfortable even after hours of continuous use gaming, creating music, or listening to YouTube while working on school assignments. The build quality also feels very solid, something I honestly never thought I'd say about plastic.
Overall, I recommend them. The only real negatives I can point out are the non-replaceable cable, which I'm not a fan of on the principle that, if it dies and can't reasonably be repaired, the headphones are basically garbage no matter how well the speakers work, which sucks. It's also surprisingly easy to pinch yourself if you pick them up in certain ways - but both are minor complaints. For the price, if you're looking for a very nice pair of headphones that'll last you years, I don't think you can go wrong with the DT 770 Pros.
I will say though - while I'm not factoring this complaint into any of the star ratings - I would recommend, at least for now, Mississauga locals only planning on visiting the location to try out headphones before purchasing head to another store. Mississauga stand is in horrible condition. As of this week, almost no headphones have been returned to their correct pole, many are not hooked up, some appear to be broken, and the signal has significant interference. We ended up having to go to Brampton, where I tried the 990s, liked the feel & the sound quality, and decided the closed 770s would be better in a noisy home environment.
{Sorry if this review is a very long single paragraph - the site seems to remove all unused sentences, I suspect to save the several bytes of data from storing blank characters at a time, which, at the level of having reviews for tens of thousands of products, is probably a significant amount of storage space, which can make longer ones near unreadable.}

I have never truly experienced music or sound through headphones until I got these. These headphones are superior quality and I'm beyond happy I purchased them. Yes they're pricey, but the quality of sound is worth it. I now can hear music as it was intended to sound; they are honest and dont seem to exaggerate the low or top end. It captures every detail and so many layers I was missing before. Electronic music is what I listen to the most, and I'm experiencing songs I've known for years on a whole nother level with these headphones. Sounds are so crisp and clear. The way I think of it is this: it's like putting on glasses and seeing everything crystal clear when you didnt even know you were half blind without them. I didn't know what I was missing before. Mind you, this is my first pair of high quality headphones ever, but I wouldn't have anything less now that I've had these guys. One of my absolute favorite material possessions.
