Schatten Design HFN-C Artist - Active with Artist II Endpin Jack Preamp
The HFN-C series for nylon string classicals and flamenco guitars is available in two model ranges: The HFN-C passive which does not come with a preamp, and the HFN-C Artist which is an active pickup and has an endpin jack preamp. We offer the passive model of the pickup for use in instruments that already have a preamp onboard or for those customers that wish to use an outboard preamp.

Had the less expensive HFN-C passive version of this installed in my Alhambra 10fc flamenco and I am 100%, absolutely impressed. Very expressive system. No need to spend more money on other products... Using the passive version enabled me to experiment with various preamps or just plug into 10M inputs on acoustic amps. Know that the better your nylon guitar sounds...the better this pickup will sound because it picks up the vibrations from the soundboard of the guitar. This is a HAND MADE Canadian product....
I was previously was using an expensive condenser mic for amplification. I much prefer the convenience of this. For live use, the simple plugin amp setup has much better projection vs condenser mic.
