Cypress Choral Music Pie Jesu - Kositsky - SSA
Additional Photos:
Composer: Michael Kositsky
Format: Choral Octavo
Voicing: SSA with piano accompaniment
Antiphonal writing makes this composition really special - perfect for children's choir and also sufficiently poignant and challenging for women at any ago.
Pie, Jesu - when my young student, Cecilia Zhang was murdered after being kidnapped in 2004, I wrote "Requiem for Cecilia" in her memory. The work was performed by the Toronto Philharmonia Orchestra in 2007 with The Canadian Children's Opera Chorus and the High Park Choir conducted by Kerry Stratton. The entire score was intended for young people and the "Pie Jesu" has been performed several times on it's own by the Chorus Niagara Children's Choir.!
