Hal Leonard Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio - Bolling - Score/Parts/CD
Composer: Claude Bolling
Format: Score, Parts and Accompaniment CD
Instrumentation: Flute, Piano, Bass, Drums (Score/Parts, and
Accompaniment CD also available separately)
This suite in seven parts is composed for a "classic" flute and a "jazz" piano. It was the first jazz recording of world-renowned flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal and Claude Bolling. It is possible to play the whole piece with only flute and piano, but bass and drum parts are included for the complete Suite.
Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio has been a popular piece for many years, but the addition of a companion CD with play-along and backing tracks means flute players can learn this legendary music on their own - the piano accompaniment CD eliminating the need for a pianist to practise with! The CD can be purchased alone, for those who already own the book.
